My computer thinks it is the market economy. Official diagnostic tools keep saying everything is OK, but the system keeps crashing.

@srp Machine continues to freeze several times an hour. HD corruption propagates to backup. Entire iTunes library converted to cool jazz...

Yesterday Disk Utility said my SSD was "corrupted and irreparable." Now says it "appears to be OK." Have done nothing. Am not sanguine.
