@ldodds I suspect there is no basis. Cargo-cult thinking, IMHO.

@ldodds Um, we can look at counts of DOIs v URLs in CitedBy. We know that 1 in 15 citations in 2013 had URL.

Seems the 4Bs argument against ebooks (bed,bath,beach,bus) is being replaced by the book-sniffer argument (loves the smell of books).
